Please note that Rainforest Trust transitioned from a Calendar Year to a Fiscal Year in 2024; accordingly, the 2024 totals reflect only the six-month period from January 1 through June 30, 2024, while all other years reported cover a full 12 months.
Conservation Through Grantmaking
Our 5-year Strategic Plan, launched in 2021, elevated our grant-making and project fundraising to new levels, allowing us to dramatically expand our impact. During FY25, we approved $ 51M in new projects, our second highest level over the last ten years. This includes 23 new full projects in 12 countries that, once complete, will protect an anticipated 15.8M acres of essential habitat for endangered species. Our restricted fundraising for these projects varies from year-over-year due to multi-year grants, which are allocated to projects in the subsequent years, and our fundraising model, which requires approved projects for which we then fundraise.
