DAILY PROCEDURES of parents in educating and disciplining their children, some student behaviors that take place outside of the school can have a direct and adverse effect on the learning community inside the school. If the school administration obtains any information regarding a student who knowingly creates, solicits, possesses, and / or distributes( sends or shows) any nudity and / or sexually explicit material regarding a minor or current student at Christ Presbyterian Academy, even if the act was committed outside of school hours, the school administration will investigate the claim and report the appropriate information to law enforcement( if applicable), and the parents of the students involved. Note: All discipline listed below is subject to change in severity based on the findings of law enforcement officials.
First Infraction
Creation and / or possession. Parent meeting, possible required counseling in the context of the offense with permission for the school administrator to speak with the counselor, and possible suspension. The student could be placed on probation as determined by the school administration for one calendar year.
Solicitation and / or distribution. Parent meeting, possible required counseling in the context of the offense with permission for the school administrator to speak with the counselor, possible suspension, and the student may be placed on probation as determined by the school administration for one calendar year.
Second Infraction
Creation and / or possession. Parent meeting, required counseling in the context of the offense with permission for the school administrator to speak with the counselor, possible required sexual and / or pornography addiction evaluation( results shared with school), possible suspension and / possible non-renewal of enrollment contract / or possible dismissal from the Academy.
Solicitation and / or distribution. Possible non-renewal of enrollment contract / or dismissal from the Academy
If any tampering with evidence occurs during an active investigation, either in person or remotely, the student will be immediately dismissed from the Academy.

ONLINE ETIQUETTE
• Students are to use appropriate language, graphics, or pictures in all digital communication. Swearing, vulgarities, suggestive, obscene, belligerent, harassing, threatening, demeaning, or abusive language, graphics, or pictures of any kind is not acceptable.
• Any student found making, distributing, redistributing jokes, stories, cyber bullying, obscene material, inappropriate language / graphics / pictures or material based on slurs or stereotypes relating to race, gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or sexuality is strictly prohibited. Violations will be subject to disciplinary measures.
• Public blogs, forums, or other online communications damaging to the school or community are not to be posted or followed regardless of the device or network used.
EMAIL, ONLINE SERVICES, AND SOCIAL MEDIA
• Email addresses provided by the school are to be used only for the exchange of academic or school-related information.
• Students are expected to check their school-issued email address regularly.
• Personal emails not related to the academic day are prohibited.
• Students will use appropriate language / graphics / pictures and will not send derogatory, obscene, or harassing messages. Email messages of an abusive or harassing nature will be subject to disciplinary measures.
• School email addresses are not to be given to any website, company, or other third parties without the explicit permission of a teacher, college counselor, or administrator.
• The school reserves the right to search and read email as deemed necessary.
• Only school-related attachments may be sent on the school email system. No chain email letters are to be forwarded.
• Messaging( including audio / video calls) and social media use are prohibited on the CPA network and during the academic day, except as part of an assigned class activity that is approved and supervised by faculty or administration.
DIGITAL CONFERENCES / VIRTUAL CLASSES
• Christ Presbyterian Academy may use various digital conference technologies to host virtual classes. The school aims to secure these meetings by various methods, such as Waiting Rooms, passwords, and not allowing users outside the CPA community to join. By properly utilizing security protocols, we can help ensure a safe and secure learning environment for all students. Digital conferences / virtual classes are considered the same as being“ at school,” and thus students should adhere to all school policies as such.
• By joining a digital conference / virtual class, all participants agree for the conference administrator to record the conference and upload it to the class portal, such as MyCPA / Google classroom. Such recordings may include student images, likenesses, voices and interactions with teachers and other students. Recordings may be used for students to review the day’ s notes, absent students to watch the class, or anything else deemed necessary by Christ Presbyterian Academy.
MOBILE PHONES AND SMART WATCHES
• Students are not permitted to use mobile phones and Smart Watches during the academic day unless prior approval to use the device during a specific time period or class is given by school administration for specified medical reasons.
• Mobile phones and Smart Watches are to be turned off / powered down( not on silent or vibrate mode) and locked inside the students’ assigned phone pouch when entering the upper school building each day.
DAILY PROCEDURES
• Morning Arrival: All students must enter through the main Lumen Hall entrance from the Quad. Unlocking stations will be located in the vestibule. Students will place their phone / smart watch in their personal Yondr pouch and securely lock it before entering school hallways.
• First Period Check: During morning announcements, there will be a daily Yondr pouch check where teachers will confirm that students have their Yondr pouches and that their phones / smart watches are secured inside. Students will carry their pouches with them throughout the school day. Students are responsible for keeping their phone / smart watch secured in their Yondr pouch at all times during the school day.
• Dismissal & Departure: Multiple unlocking stations will be available at the main exits. Students will unlock their pouches as they leave for the day.
• Mid-Day Checkouts( Senior Option, Appointments, etc.): Students will unlock their pouch at the front desk when signing out
