• Have exited high school or secondary institution( diploma, GED, special education diploma, certificate)
• Have either received or would have been eligible to receive services under IDEA( i. e., had an IEP / 504)
• Demonstrate sufficient emotional stability, safety, and independent living skills to participate with minimal support in all aspects of the Integrated Studies coursework and campus environment
• Have functional literacy skills and basic computer literacy in order to comprehend basic safety signage, complete assignments with supports, and navigate the campus independently
• Have the potential to successfully achieve goals and the course requirements set out for an Audit designation with minimal support
• Be able to appropriately participate in 75-minute classes with necessary accommodations in place to function independently in social situations such as being alone in the Griffin Complex, academic buildings, cafeteria, etc.
• Be able to accept and follow campus rules and policies and behave respectfully towards others
• without supervision
• Have their own cell phone
• Highly desired: enrolled in county supports coordination / OVR / waiver at the start of the program
To apply to Gwynedd Mercy University’ s Integrated Studies Program, please complete the following steps: Step 1: Submit the undergraduate application – be sure to select“ Integrated Studies” as your program of interest. Step 2: Complete supplementary materials: 1. Sign and complete the Release of Information Waiver online. 2. Send a copy of your most recent Individualized Education Plan( IEP) and / or Individualized Support Plan( ISP) to Zack Hulings, Director of Student Accessibility Services: accessibilityservices @ gmercyu. edu with the subject line: Name, IEP / ISP, Integrated Studies.
3. Send a copy of your high school transcript to admissions @ gmercyu. edu with the subject line: Name, HS transcript, Integrated Studies.
4. Have one teacher and one employer / coach who know you well complete recommendation forms online. You can share this link for them to complete and submit this online. 5. Complete the Supplemental Questions form online. 6. Complete an introductory Flip Grid video: https:// flipgrid. com / cb8eeb1e Step 3: After all materials have been received, eligible candidates will be invited for a Zoom interview with Integrated Studies program staff.
Admissions decisions will be mailed within 2 – 4 weeks of interviews. Gwynedd Mercy University’ s Integrated Studies Program is not a dual enrollment program.
