CNL Role Imm & Capstone Practicum
This course is a combination of didactic and clinical hours for role immersion and development and will fulfill the CNL Capstone and Integrating Experience requirement. It is an intensive clinical experience in an area selected by the student. The experience allows for full implementation of the clinical nurse leader competencies and includes a strong interdisciplinary practice focus. A capstone project is required and will be presented in a poster session at the end of the course.

Teaching Strategies
Explores the teaching roles and responsibilities of the nurse educator in the classroom, laboratory and clinical setting. The theoretical content of teaching / learning and curriculum development will be applied to teaching techniques, strategies and challenges. The emphasis will be on techniques to facilitate student learning.

Primary Care I-Introduction
This course introduces the role of the nurse practitioner in general primary
health care management of individuals and families across the lifespan.
Focus is directed toward the application of advanced health assessment
skills, preventive health care practices and the promotion of health. Course
content includes family systems, developmental theories, cultural
considerations, environmental factors, spiritual concerns, and genetic
influences. Experiences are provided in clinical decision-making and in the
implementation of evidence-based practice in a variety of primary care
settings.
