Field Experience in Nursing Education
This course introduces and explores theoretical and practical perspectives on knowledge and learning in nursing education, highlighting the contexts influencing teaching and learning. Participants will identify and analyze trends, issues, models, methods, instructional strategies, and technologies to enhance student learning in both classroom and clinical settings.
This course focuses on the diverse evaluation methods used to assess student learning in nursing education curricula. Students will explore and apply various assessment strategies, gaining insights into effective approaches to measure and enhance student comprehension and skills within the context of nursing education.
The course involves a minimum of 70 hours of field experience directly related to nursing education. Students, guided by an on-site mentor and instructor, will participate in capstone experiences seamlessly integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The course emphasizes hands-on learning to enhance students ' understanding and proficiency in the field of nursing education.
