Practicum in Exercise Science |
Through a 5-hour practicum, students will gain practical experience in the field of exercise science through a supervised practicum placement. Students will apply theoretical knowledge in a professional setting such as a fitness center, rehabilitation clinic, or sports team environment. The practicum provides opportunities for hands-on learning in areas like exercise prescription, client interaction, program implementation, and facility management. Students will conclude their practicum experience by reflecting on their experiences and tying those experiences to what they have learned throughout the program and how they can take what they have learned to enhance professional development and career readiness. |
