Time to Completion: The program requires 43 credits for the AGNP or PNP Nurse Practitioner tracks and 48 credits for the FNP. Students must complete the program within five calendar years.
Experiential Learning: Students are required to secure clinical site placements in conjunction with the Clinical coordinator and Program Coordinator. The preceptors at the clinical site placements are required to meet the qualifications of the appropriate accrediting body( e. g. State Board requirements; Board Certified and Board Certified in the student’ s area.) Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from off-campus experiential learning opportunities.

POST-MASTER ' S CERTIFICATE IN NURSING EDUCATION Program Name: Post-Master ' s Certificate in Nursing Education Degree: Certificate Program Modality: Online, with select in-person components in NUR 606 to ensure essential hands-on learning. Program Director: Dona M. Molyneaux
Program Description: The certificate option is available for applicants who already have obtained an MSN degree. The Post-Master’ s Certificate in Nursing Education is designed for experienced nursing professionals who wish to transition into teaching and leadership roles in nursing education, whether in academic or clinical settings.
Academic Criteria for Admission, Progression and Retention
Post Master’ s Nurse Educator Certificate applicants:
• Master’ s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• Graduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale
• One year of clinical experience in nursing
• Copy of professional license( s)
• One official sealed transcript from each college or university attended
• Current resume or Curriculum Vitae
• Completed application
• Two professional references
