Acceptable Academic Achievement in Support Courses in Nursing:
• A minimum grade of C + is required for all math and science courses( Fundamentals of Math, MTH 103; Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Lecture and Laboratory; BIO 107 / L and BIO 108 / L; Principles of Nutrition, NUT 200; Microbiology for the Health Sciences, BIO 121 / L; and Chemistry for the Allied Health Sciences, CHM111 / L).
• Students may not repeat a science or math course more than once.
• Students who earn a grade lower than C + in Anatomy and Physiology I BIO107 must repeat Anatomy and Physiology I, BIO 107, and earn the grade of“ C +” before progressing to Anatomy and Physiology II, BIO108.
• Students who withdraw from Chemistry 111 lecture need to withdraw from Chemistry 111 lab as well. However, students who withdraw from the Chemistry 111 lab portion of chemistry may remain in the lecture section of Chemistry 111.
• Grades of“ C +” or higher in both lecture and laboratory sciences, math, and nutrition courses must be earned before the student can advance to their junior level nursing courses.
