Any student who does not earn the minimum grade of " C " for any concentration course( s) may not continue in concentration courses until the course( s) has / have been successfully completed. No course of concentration may be repeated until the following year and may only be repeated one time. Students repeating courses will be readmitted to concentration courses on a space-available basis only.
The degree will be withheld until the concentration-required courses and all Program Competencies are satisfactorily completed with the minimum grade. A student who fails two or more didactic courses in the major and / or core requisite courses( C- and / or below) will be dismissed from the program. Failure to successfully complete a repeated course will result in dismissal from the program.
A student must maintain a grade of " C " or above for each didactic course in the concentration and each requisite course. Students must maintain a grade of“ B” or above for each clinical course. Failure to maintain these required grades will result in dismissal from the program for reasons of academic / clinical failure.
Students must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 to remain in the program.
Students are on clinical probation until the completion of the fall semester. Probation is lifted following satisfactory clinical evaluation but may be re-imposed at any time because of unsatisfactory clinical and / or professional performance.
The following conduct is prohibited, and students will be subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal from the program, in accordance with due process: 1. Any violations of the University Code of Student Conduct 2. Violation of the University Honor code 3. Violation of the University Drug and Alcohol Use Policy 4. Violations of Clinical Affiliate Policies and Procedures 5. Violation of Radiation Therapy Program Policies( i. e., attendance, lateness, dress code, course requirements, etc.)
Students are expected to always conduct themselves in a professional manner and in accordance with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists( ARRT) Code of Ethics.
Attendance Policies: There are no excused absences from class. It is the student ' s responsibility to be prepared for class by reviewing all class notes, completing assignments( both reading and written). If absent from class( classes) the student is responsible for all missed class work and assignments.
The required amount of time to be devoted to study each week is fifteen( 15) to twenty( 20) hours or two( 2) hours of study for each hour of lecture.
Clinical Education: Students are allowed one day off per semester from clinical education for sickness or for personal reasons. Absences of two( 2) or more consecutive days for illness require a physician ' s note regarding the student ' s ability to return to clinical assignment.
Students must notify their clinical supervisor and the clinical coordinator on each day of absence by the start of their shift. The student has the option to make up any additional absences. Absences( not
