MY CREDIT UNION HAS HELD MANY NAMES OVER THE YEARS
March 27 , 1957 the credit union known as the Richfield School Employees Credit Union was established - serving employees of ISD 280 . In 1966 , Bob Lien became president , in which the credit union was housed in the Lein home . In 1989 the name was changed to the Richfield Credit Union . Then in 1990 the field of membership expanded to include the city of Bloomington - where the credit union was renamed Richfield Bloomington Credit Union . The credit union was growing at such a rapid pace that more staff were needed to help
serve our members . So construction began in February of 2003 to create a 2nd floor of the branch . Many milestones were hit from then on ... celebrating 50 years of business , purchasing land to build our Lyndale Branch , further expanding our field of membership , celebrating our new CEO ( 2017 ), and breaking ground of our Old Shakopee Road Branch . All of this leading up to who we are today - MY CREDIT UNION ! We owe it all to our roots in Richfield . Come be a part of the rich history of the city of Richfield and join MYCU !
