Plymouth has many organizations that work to improve the lives of community members and make a difference for all ages . Those organizations include :
Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners
Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners ’ mission is to engage the heart and will of the community , respond to those in need , and create opportunities for all to thrive .
Since 1979 , the nonprofit has served families and individuals in need in a variety of ways . The organization provides emergency and long-term solutions around food and clothing , housing , employment , child care , transportation and access to resources and healthy community connections .
Interfaith Outreach serves households in Plymouth , Wayzata , Hamel , Long Lake , Medicine Lake , Medina , Minnetonka Beach and Orono and has more than 2,000 volunteers .
The Sleep Out campaign , the organization ’ s largest annual fundraising effort , typically brings in around $ 3 million each year . Proceeds go towards preventing local housing instability .
Interfaith Outreach works toward creating equal opportunities in education with its Great Expectations education initiative . The initiative is a partnership with the Wayzata and Orono school districts and seeks to narrow racial and socioeconomic achievement gaps in the community .

Plymouth Rotary Club
Plymouth Rotary Club has a 40-plus-year history of serving the Plymouth area through service projects , community grants , scholarships for education , and the Plymouth Heart Safe CPR / AED training . Plymouth on Parade , Fire & Ice Fishing Contest and Brewfest are just some activities planned throughout the year . The club meets weekly on Thursdays at the Plymouth Comfort Inn .
