Get outside and enjoy Plymouth ’ s parks and trails

Plymouth ’ s nationally recognized parks and trail system boasts more than 182 miles of trails and 1,827 acres of parkland , which includes 67 developed parks as well as natural areas , open space , and trail corridors . The city is committed to providing a high-quality park and open space system that offers a balance of active and passive recreational opportunities . The system includes several types of parks and facilities – special use , community playfields , neighborhood parks and more .
Northwest Greenway Pavilion and Challenge Course
The Northwest Greenway is a 350-acre wooded nature preserve with winding bike and pedestrian trails , stretching from Lake Camelot on the east side of Plymouth to the Northwest Greenway Pavilion and Challenge Course on the west .
The Northwest Greenway Pavilion , 5250 Peony Lane , features a large open-air pavilion , a multi-use plaza , parking , restrooms , drinking fountains and more .
Adjacent to the pavilion is the Northwest Greenway Challenge Course – a new park amenity for ages 13 and older , offering unique activity challenges involving netting , climbing , balancing and agility on a variety of structures .

Special-use parks and facilities
The city ’ s special-use parks and facilities feature natural settings and unique amenities . These include :
• Plymouth Fieldhouse – Adjacent to the Plymouth Community Center , the inflatable dome fieldhouse hosts a variety of events during the winter months .
• Millennium Garden – Located on the grounds of the Plymouth Community Center , the garden has become a cherished part of the community for its beauty and tranquility . It features a variety of flower gardens , trails , walkways , fountains , a labyrinth and open space . The Millennium Garden is available for the community to enjoy and for private rentals and events .
• Plymouth Ice Center – 3650 Plymouth Blvd . – The PIC features three professional rinks , 16 locker rooms , and two community meeting rooms . PIC is home to the Wayzata High School and Providence Academy hockey teams and is one of the busiest arenas in the state .
• Dog parks – The city has two dog parks . Plymouth Dog Park , 17005 Chankahda Trail ( year-round ) and 4 Paws Dog Park located at Plymouth Playfield , 9755 36th Ave . ( yearround ). These areas are designed so dogs can run free on parkland . Please respect neighbors and keep pets within the off-leash areas .
• Skate Park – 3625 Fernbrook Lane – The park offers skateboarders and in-line skaters a variety of ramps and rails .
• Hilde Performance Center – 3500 Plymouth Blvd . – The Hilde Performance Center includes a 45-foot tall open-air bandshell that hosts a variety of concerts , events , shows and other entertainment .
