Robbinsdale Area Schools serves about 10,000 preK-12 students from Plymouth , Brooklyn Center , Brooklyn Park , Crystal , Golden Valley , New Hope and Robbinsdale . The mission of Robbinsdale Area Schools aims to inspire and educate all learners to develop their unique potential and positively contribute to their community . Its goal is to empower students to believe in themselves , create safe and welcoming places so students feel like they belong in their school community and know they can become whatever it is they see in their dreams .
Robbinsdale Area Schools serves students in 11 elementary schools , four middle schools , two traditional high schools , an alternative high school and a virtual academy . Its schools offer learning pathways for students who have a passion for science , engineering , arts and technology , dual language immersion , fine arts and more .
Beyond the preK-12 experience , Robbinsdale Area Schools offers early learning programs , before- and after-school childcare , and adult basic education offerings through its Community Education program .
Robbinsdale Area Schools employs staff who passionately serve their students every day . The district is governed by a seven-member school board elected at-large in staggered terms . The board sets policies and hires the superintendent , who ensures those policies are implemented across the district . The school board typically meets on the first and third Monday of every month at the Education Service Center , 4148 Winnetka Ave . N ., New Hope .
