With the first structural heart disease program in Tarrant County , Baylor Scott & White Heart and Vascular Hospital — Fort Worth offers comprehensive , tailored care for a variety of structural heart conditions . The program brings together a multidisciplinary team of experienced cardiologists , cardiothoracic surgeons , interventional cardiologists , electrophysiologists , and imaging specialists on the medical staff , along with nurses with specialized training and experience , equipped with the expertise and advanced technologies for structural heart disease diagnosis and treatment .
For many patients with these conditions , factors like age or mobility limitations make traveling for care difficult . In fiscal year 2024 , the Fort Worth structural heart disease program continued to increase access to comprehensive , quality care for this population .
