THE BRIDGE CO .

The newly reimagined The Bridge Co . will be reopening for Summer 2024 dinner service . The company was purchased by Skye Nevada and Chef Lexa Gokey in 2023 , after they both worked for the previous owners under Bridge Seafood for many years . Now a women-owned and operated business , these two ladies have big plans for their future and the future of fine dining in Anchorage . “ We want to elevate the dining experience in Alaska ,” says Nevada . “ Anchorage is a pretty big foodie town , and we think the city is ready for a new level of hospitality ,” echos Gokey .
Built on an old railroad bridge over Ship Creek , their venue provides a uniquely-Alaskan location in Downtown Anchorage . Under new ownership , the restaurant will be open for dinner service Thursday through Saturday , beginning June 1 , one year after their purchase . With an emphasis on local and sustainable food sources , The Bridge . Co . will feature a semi pre-fixe menu of four courses , taking the diner on a journey through Alaska . While the emphasis might remain on seafood , Gokey stressed that there will be options for everyone , including vegan , vegetarian , and gluten-free .
The Bridge Co . also provides year-round catering services , both on and off-site anywhere in Southcentral Alaska , and they mean anywhere ! Whether the team is on catamarans in Prince William Sound , atop Spencer Glacier after a helicopter ride , or in a home or corporate office , the Bridge Team provides delicious food with an exciting backdrop . From weddings and birthday celebrations , to conferences and corporate retreats , The Bridge is a full-service company for any event .
“ We are proud members of Alaska CHARR ,” says Nevada . “ We are grateful for the resources and trainings provided to us . The importance of organizations like CHARR cannot be praised enough , between advocacy work , industry trainings , and workforce development initiatives , our Alaska CHARR office plays a necessary and vital role in Alaska ’ s hospitality industry ,” emphasizes Nevada . She often works with Sarah Oates , President of CHAAR , in many capacities , including outreach and workforce development with the University of Alaska Anchorage ’ s College of Business and Public Policy .
