My name is Samantha Johnson . I have recently joined the team with Alaska CHARR as their Office Manager . I am a lifelong Alaskan who enjoys the outdoors ; however , you will find me snuggled up at home in the winter months . I love spending time with my family and friends , building memories that will last a lifetime . In the mix of COVID-19 , I married my wonderful husband , and together , we have adopted three wonderful cats . I am new to the industry and look forward to this new career and growing with Alaska CHARR .

Meet Kat Duren , the new STEP Grant Administrator for Alaska CHARR Educational Foundation . She is a detail-oriented professional with a knack for data entry and organization . She ’ s got a solid background in administrative coordination and has worked in various roles , from being a program compliance coordinator to a bank teller and a barista / assistant baker .
Kat is all about ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations , managing teams , and making sure businesses grow and develop in a positive way . She ’ s got a talent for providing top-notch customer service , handling confidential documents like a pro , and paying attention to the small details .
Kat was born and raised in Alaska and spent the last 20 years on the Oregon and California Coast with her husband while he was an active service member in the US Coast Guard . Currently , Kat lives in Houston , AK , with her Husband David , her 3 children , Tate , Cole , and Mcayla , and their 2 dogs , Tink and Daphne . When she ’ s not working , Kat enjoys harvesting what the land has to offer , camping , baking , crafting , hosting BBQs in the summer , and Dinner parties in the winter , she also enjoys seeing and exploring this wonderful state that we live in .
With her Associate of Arts in Business and Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Small Business Management & Entrepreneurship , Kat is wellequipped to handle any challenge that comes her way .
