Helping desperate families in Guatemala
Opening a permanent home for the Nepal safe house
Every year , KeHE Cares ® sends employee teams to volunteer to serve in Santa Rosita , Guatemala , where many families lack basic household amenities . Upon their arrival in January 2023 , our team learned that five families had lost everything to a devastating fire that also polluted the community ’ s watering resource .
In response , KeHE Cares teams installed 49 bio stoves and water filtration systems to help these families through their dire circumstances .
Women in Nepal are vulnerable to poverty , abuse , and trafficking . For more than a decade , KeHE Cares and Restoring Hope Nepal have partnered to operate a safe house to give hundreds of rescued Nepali women and girls hope through care , protection and education .
Unfortunately , the small rental home could only house 10 to 12 young women at a time . In August 2023 , KeHE Cares and
Restoring Hope Nepal opened a permanent home and safe house that houses up to 120 women within the next year . The building also has on-site classrooms for training those interested in becoming tailors , sewers , and beauticians .
This new safe house will be a place of healing for young women , helping them become strong , independent individuals who lead transformed lives .
Combating human trafficking in the U . S .
KeHE Cares partners with several domestic
organizations to combat human trafficking
and help its victims .
Eight Days of Hope is constructing , with financial support from KeHE Cares , a campus for girls ages 14-18 who have been rescued from trafficking .
Naomi ’ s House serves survivors of commercial exploitation through comprehensive , traumainformed , and faithcentered programming , empowering women to heal from their past and live a life free of exploitation .
