Lean Transformation
As part of the Food First Strategic Plan ’ s focus on operational excellence , KeHE has embraced Lean Transformation . Our Lean strategy is a new way of thinking at KeHE in which employees at all company levels work together to review and proactively achieve regular , incremental improvements to a process . In a sense , it combines the collective talents within a company to create a powerful engine for improvement .
Workday
KeHE transitioned to Workday , a leading , cloud-based software , to manage our accounts receivable ( AR ), accounts payable ( AP ), and general accounting needs . This shift supports more complete integration with back-end solutions and enables scalability for future growth .
Blink
The Operations team rolled out Blink , a new employee communication app for our frontline warehouse employees and drivers .
Blink replaced the previous communication app , facilitating seamless communication across various DC locations and connecting our deskless workers with KeHE ’ s unique culture and communication . This accomplishment is the result of an incredible partnership and collaborative effort across Operations , HR , IT , Communications , and Legal .
Across KeHE , Lean KAIZEN ™ events are in progress to drive inefficiencies out of our systems and processes , improve speed and accuracy , and eliminate unnecessary costs .
