Diversity , Equity , Inclusion , and Belonging
KeHE ® strives to honor and champion the contributions of everyone on our journey , and to make KeHE a welcoming place for all through education and a supportive work environment .
The Diversity , Equity , Inclusion , and Belonging ( DEIB ) Advisory Council was formed from several previous councils to cultivate an environment where every employee feels valued and included . This year , we launched three initiatives to realize our mission of establishing KeHE as the best place to work — for everyone .
1 : DEIB calendar events
The DEIB calendar includes educational webinars , events , and communications that highlight how we are more similar and united than we realize . Our focus on increasing awareness and reducing bias through education and allyship ensures that every employee of our organization feels valued and respected .
2 : Local task force
The DEIB task force teams at each KeHE location drive local opportunities to celebrate diversity . They spearhead initiatives that resonate with our unique cultural tapestry , focusing on communityserving , local benevolence , and wellness and purchasing events .
3 : Belonging Events
Annual Belonging Events are being planned at each DC location to celebrate cultures , identities , and perspectives , and employees can come together to honor and embrace the richness of our collective differences . Awards , accolades , and acknowledgments will recognize employees and groups who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to diversity , equity , inclusion , and belonging .
