ANNUAL REPORT FOR GIFTS MADE FROM JULY 1 , 2023 – JUNE 30 , 2024
The Class of 1994 Scholarship aims to support deserving students , mirroring the transformative experiences the class members had during their time at Fordham Prep . Their success underscores the potential for alumni to significantly shape the Prep ’ s future .
After the sudden passing of their beloved classmate , Dan Doherty ’ 04 , in September 2023 , alumni came together in an extraordinary way to give back to the Prep in his honor .

BELOW : Class of 2004 alumni and friends gathered at Dunwoodie Golf Course on May 24 , 2024 for the inaugural Dan Doherty ’ 04 Memorial Golf Outing .
Since Doherty was an avid golf hobbyist , his fellow Rams thought a golf outing would be a fitting way to celebrate his life . Proceeds from the inaugural Dan Doherty ’ 04 Memorial Golf Outing , held on May 24th at Dunwoodie Golf Course , would go toward the new Dan Doherty ’ 04 Scholarship .
Donations began trickling in as the class celebrated their 20th reunion at the Prep on May 4th . The outing later that month raised $ 60,000 for the fund , and a generous donor matched the next $ 10,000 donated before the end of the 2023 – 2024 fiscal year .
The Dan Doherty ’ 04 Scholarship is aimed at supporting a senior track athlete with financial need who embodies Dan ’ s spirit of camaraderie , leadership , and compassion . The first Dan Doherty Scholar , Adriel Grullon ’ 25 , was named at the 2024 Track & Field Hall of Honor ceremony .
