ANNUAL REPORT FOR GIFTS MADE FROM JULY 1 , 2023 – JUNE 30 , 2024 first-generation Rams and students of color , the FitzSimons Civics Education Initiative , and the faculty / staff-sponsored Unknown Mentor Scholarship as prime examples of ways to engage with the Prep as men and women for others .

“ I got emotional when I first heard about the Unknown Mentor Scholarship ,” Murray noted . The scholarship , started in 2021 by former science teacher and soccer coach Peter McNamara P ’ 11 ,’ 12 ,’ 17 , is given to students demonstrating academic ability and substantial financial need . The scholarship was named to pay tribute to the anonymous faculty and staff gifts to the fund . Recipients are also unknown to those outside of the scholarship committee .

Looking ahead , Murray hopes to see Fordham Prep deepen its mission by expanding its endowment to increase financial aid and scholarships , ensuring accessibility for deserving students . n
