What ’ s more , he managed to fashion an approach that gained the support of Florida Association of Counties and the Florida League of Cities despite them being at odds with each other , all while protecting FHBA goals .
Representative Tiffany Esposito Rep . Esposito successfully guided both the permit timing bill and the heat regulation preemption bill to final passage . She also implemented a number of changes suggested by FHBA to her HOA bill that passed this session .
Senator Corey Simon Sen . Simon stood tall against staunch opposition to his workforce education bill that contained FHBA ’ s priority legislation allowing 16- and 17-year-olds on residential construction sites . Thanks to his steadfast leadership , this initiative reached final passage .
Senator Jay Trumbull Sen . Trumbull remained steadfast through the last three days of this session as the heat preemption bill went back and forth through questioning and amendments . As the bill sponsor , he ultimately go it done . We look forward to working with the senator in the coming years .
Senator Blaise Ingoglia Sen . Ingoglia stepped in to help resolve issues with language in the home warranty transfer bill , ultimately striking a deal supported by the FHBA . He also successfully sponsored the building permit / plat bill important to our Volume Builders Council and worked behind the scenes to ensure the Senate did not consider the mandatory escrow bill . What ’ s more , he sponsored an amendment that addresses the anti-development issue pending in the Orange County Charter Review Commission .
