Mission Statement To hold educational and entertainment activities for both agricultural and non-agricultural purposes in a safe environment .
The Stephenson County Fair Board consists of four ( 4 ) Executive Officers and twelve ( 12 ) Board Directors . Board meetings are held at 7 pm the 4 th Thursday of every month at the Farm Bureau building located at 210 W . Spring St ., Freeport , IL 61032 . The public is welcome and encouraged to attend . Elections for executive positions are held at the October Annual Meeting and open positions vary according to term . If you are considering a board position , we suggest attending these meetings prior to the election . Meet our Board and Committee members and ask questions . We value everyone ’ s input !
The Stephenson County Fair has many Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents who are responsible for overseeing the Livestock , Horse and Non-Livestock Departments and Judges at the Fair .
Committees are a very important element in supporting the various support work needed to make the Fair run smoothly . Some of these Committees include : Advertising ; Beverage ; Buildings and Grounds ; Commercial ; Entertainment ; Finance ; Security , Gates & Parking ; Livestock ; Non-Livestock and Policies & Procedures .
Staff is hired to assist with various tasks before and during the fair .
Fair , Building and Award Sponsorships are a great way to contribute to the Fair in a monetary way and advertise your business . Fair Sponsorships vary in amounts depending on various combinations of advertising and ticket packages . Building Sponsorships are offered in yearly increments and include naming rights and advertising on the building . Award Sponsorships are given by businesses and individuals to help cover the cost of awards given to all of the exhibitors .
