Below are 2023 program highlights demonstrating Children Colorado ’ s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to support team member resilience and well-being .
Enhanced access to behavioral health services
Recognizing the emotional impact that comes with delivering care to vulnerable children and families , Children ’ s Colorado advanced team members ’ access to behavioral health services late in 2022 . The hospital ’ s partnership with Code 4 Counseling , an organization that specializes in evidence-based services supporting first responders , has facilitated prompt access to quality and expert behavioral health services specifically to address exposure to stress , grief and trauma . Code 4 Counseling offers team members confidential access to individual support , on-site critical incident support , and training and education on various topics related to the emotional impact of working in healthcare . In 2023 , individual support represented 59 % of hours utilized . Of the individual support offered by Code 4 Counseling , 8 % was related to grief and loss , 37 % to trauma , and 32 % to occupational stress .
