Swan House was completed in 1928 for Jazz Age entertaining and designed by one of America ’ s greatest classical architects . Its stunning interiors feature the work of noted interior decorator Ruby Ross Wood .
Swan House is on the National Register of Historic Places and is an Atlanta Landmark Building .

E dward Inman and his wife Emily hired the architecture firm Hentz , Reid , and Adler to design a house for their property in Buckhead , a residential suburb of Atlanta in 1924 . Noted architect Philip Trammell Shutze designed Swan House and its gardens , as well as many other important

Goizueta Gardens is a 33-acre landscape encompassing nine distinct gardens — including preserved woodland , diverse plant collections , and heritage-breed animals . From curated gardens to native Piedmont Forest , no other place in Atlanta captures the variety of landscapes that have shaped our city ’ s history . buildings in the city . He adapted Italian and English classical styles to accommodate 20th-century living for Swan House , which many consider his finest residential work . They moved in one year before the depression , in 1928 , and Edward died soon after .
The house was purchased by the Atlanta Historical Society in 1966 . Facing Andrews Drive , you can easily see the front cover view from the gates . This home is part of the expansive Atlanta History Center and includes beautiful gardens and tours .
