MS . NIOMA STONER COEN of Great Barrington , Massachusetts has been breeding Shetland Sheepdogs since 1968 . A Life Member of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association , she has bred and owned numerous National Specialty winners , all-breed Best in Show winners , and Register of Merit Sires and Dams . As a professional handler , Ms . Coen specialized in Collies and Shetland Sheepdogs . Along with her husband , Tom , she was named the 2004 AKC Herding Group Breeder of the Year .
Ms . Coen has judged both Collie and Shetland Sheepdog National Specialties and assignments in Canada , Japan , China , and Scandinavia . She is approved to judge Collies , Australian Shepherds , Pembroke Welsh Corgis , and Shetland Sheepdogs . This is her first judging assignment at Westminster .
MR . EDMUND DZIUK of Columbia , Missouri has been actively involved in the sport of purebred dogs for over forty years . He obtained his first Beagle in 1977 , finished its AKC championship as a junior owner-handler , and has never been without the breed since . Mr . Dziuk has bred or owned more than 75 Beagle champions , including 5 National Specialty Best of Breed Winners and 11 Best in Show winners . He attended his first Westminster show in 1980 as a junior and handled his Beagle to a Best of Variety win . The following year he returned to place in the Westminster Junior Showmanship Finals competition . Many more Westminster wins followed , culminating in two Best in Show winners : Uno in 2008 and Miss P in 2015 , bred by Mr . Dziuk .
For the last 20 years , Mr . Dziuk has been the Chief Operating Officer of the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals , where he has the unique opportunity to combine his business and management experience with his love of dogs and passion for and interest in canine health . He is approved to judge the Hound group , numerous Sporting , Non-Sporting and Toy breeds , Best in Show , and Junior Showmanship . This is his third judging assignment at Westminster .
MR . ALBERT EASDON of Moffat , United Kingdom has shown dogs since he was at school , including Boston Terriers , King Charles Spaniels , Shih Tzu , and Pekingese . Mr . Easdon has owned and bred 55 Pekingese Champions and Champions of his other breeds in England and overseas . He has had much success at Crufts . He was the breeder-owner-handler of the 2003 Best in Show winning Pekingese , Ch . Yakee a Dangerous Liaison , and the 1989 Reserve Best in Show winner , Ch . Yakee For Your Eyes Only . Additionally , he handled dogs to Reserve Best in Show and three Toy Group wins at Crufts and the Top Dog All-Breeds in the U . K .
Stateside , his Yakee-bred dogs have also been successful . Ch . Yakee Leaving Me Breathless won 2 Toy Groups at Westminster and Ch . Yakee If Only was the Top Dog All-Breeds in the U . S . and was also a Westminster Toy Group winner .
In 2022 Mr . Easdon will be judging in many countries worldwide and the Toy Group at Crufts . This is his first judging assignment at Westminster .
DR . IAN HOWELL GABRIEL of London , United Kingdom is the third generation of his family involved with purebred dogs , specializing in Fox Terriers his entire life . The Gaybryl Smooth Fox Terriers are well known , with notable wins , including Best in Show at The Fox Terrier Gold Cup show and top awards internationally and at the Montgomery KC . Dr . Gabriel is the Life President of the Fox Terrier Club of Wales . He has judged terriers worldwide for over 30 years , including at the Montgomery and AKC National Championship weekends and The European , Australian , and Scandinavian Fox Terrier Clubs . He will judge both varieties at The U . K .’ s National Terrier show in 2022 . A lifelong interest in dogs has seen Ian serving in various capacities in dog clubs since the age of 12 . He has been a Kennel Club board member for nine years serving various committees , including the Crufts Dog Show . Currently , he holds the Kennel Club ’ s Vice- Chairman position . Dr . Gabriel has attended the Garden annually for many years . This is his first judging assignment at Westminster .
MR . RICK GSCHWENDER of Nampa , Idaho has been active in the dog show world since 1979 . First with Rombo Bouvier de Flandres and later under Rendezvous Bouviers when he married Debra in 1989 . They have produced National Specialty winners and multiple Group winners .
Mr . Gschwender has had the honor of judging Best of Breed at the Bouvier des Flandres National Specialty , the Australian Shepherd National Specialty , and the Herding Group at Westminster in 2006 .
He and his wife Debra live with one Bouviers Des Flandres , one German Shorthair Pointer , one Anatolian Shepherd , and two horses . Mr . Gschwender is approved to judge the Herding , Working , Sporting , Non-Sporting groups , Best in Show , and Junior Showmanship . This is his sixth judging assignment at Westminster .
