BACK Construction was afforded a unique opportunity , utilizing an effective design-build process , to give new life to this 1950 ’ s ranch home . The initial project , completed in 2019 , transformed the original 1200 sq ft floor plan into a spacious , 2-story home with a large , detached garage . The project focused on blending traditional details and functional design elements to meet the needs of the modern-day family lifestyle . Each space , interior and exterior , was thoughtfully reimagined and resulted in an open concept first floor with a custom kitchen , combined dining and family room with gas fireplace and custom built-ins , a large primary suite with a luxurious bathroom and spacious closets . The second project , completed in 2021 , added a large , finished living and recreational area with updated gas fireplace , along with a home office with custom built-ins . In addition to the basement project , the new owners worked closely with the BACK team to further personalize the home with a custom wet bar in the first-floor dining room .
