MEMBERS IN ACTION
The competition for The Heathen Cup was fierce and well fought , over two days , but a winner did emerge after all . Similar in principle to The Ryder Cup series , each team fielded two-person pairs to compete in Four Ball ( aka best ball ) on the back nine Saturday AM , and in Foursomes ( aka Alternate Shot ) on the front nine Saturday afternoon . On Sunday , all team members competed in individual 18 hole matches . Fortunately , the weather for both days was amazing , and course conditions were excellent !
Team Blue Ridge took the 2022 Cup in fine fashion , 13 points to 7 . The beginning , no doubt , of what some might call a Dynasty !

The second place team , Team Allegheny , was made up of : Back Row -left to right , Carroll Comstock , Bob Hopkins , Rick Drake , Buddy Bryan , Captain Mike Evans , Mark Sayre , Bill Teten and Jack Bruce . Front row -Rick Leech and Ralph Caldroney . Missing from picture -Lynn McCoy .
The dates for The Heathen Cup 2023 competition will be announced after we hear back as to when The Golf Channel wishes to broadcast the action .
