2022 Section 1 AG-ED ( FFA ) Fair
General Rules
1 . An exhibitor must have completed a class of agricultural education the previous school year or have completed all the agriculture courses offered in a high school and he / she must keep records on the projects . Students who withdraw from school are not eligible to show . Mid-year graduates are eligible to show .
2 . All animals shown must be from a student ’ s project and must be owned or purchased no later than June 1 , 2022 . Students who work in placement SAE programs are eligible to show but must have a contract with their employer . Partnership projects may be exhibited as long as ownership is shown in the record book . 3 . Registration papers must be on grounds and available for all purebred animals . 4 . Entry Fees – Section 1 FFA fair entries are due to the student ’ s local agriculture instructor or other school representative . Entries are due Friday , July 8 , 2022 . Please make all checks payable to Section 1 FFA , unless your school is paying for your entry fees . 5 . If you plan to show at the Stephenson County Fair , those entries are due to the Fair Office by July 1 , and checks need to be payable to Stephenson County Fair Association .

5 . It is the duty of the Ag Instructor to remind his / her students about horseplay , destruction of property , smoking , drinking , etc . Any such act will result in loss of prize money . Each student will be responsible of his / her own acts . 6 . The Stephenson County Fair Association will not be responsible for losses or damages . 7 . All controversies will be handled by the Ag Ed Fair Committee and their decisions will be final . 8 . State and County health rules will be strictly adhered to . Species specific health paperwork should be presented at check-in . 9 . Any entrant who wishes to sell his / her market animal entry at the auction must enter the Junior Open Show for that species . SEE THE STEPHENSON COUNTY FAIR BOOK AUCTION PAGE - THIS MUST BE DONE THROUGH THE FAIR SUPERINTEN- DENTS FOR EACH SPECIES . 10 . All livestock must be exhibited by a Section 1 FFA member or Section 1 agriculture student . 11 . No adult , except the superintendent and those designated by him / her to assist in the operation of the show and the judge , will be allowed in the show ring , during judging unless a dangerous situation exists . 12 . Bedding must be furnished by the student and PENS & STALLS MUST BE CLEANED OUT WHEN YOU LEAVE
OR PREMIUMS WILL BE FORFIETED . 13 . All stock remains in place on the grounds until the entire species show has completed . 14 . Showmanship is open to all entrants with their own animals . There is no entry fee . 15 . School Exhibit : Best five ( 5 ) animals from two ( 2 ) or more exhibitors .
