2022 Section 1 AG-ED ( FFA ) Fair
The Livestock / Agriculture Fair will be held on Tuesday July 26 , 2022 AND Friday , July 29 , 2022 Section 1 FFA Sheep Show will be held Tuesday July 26 , 2022 one hour after the conclusion of the 4H Sheep Show . All FFA sheep must be on the fairgrounds and in place by 12:00pm noon . Section 1 FFA Beef , Dairy , Goats , Poultry , Rabbits and Swine shows will be Friday July 29 , 2022 . Beef , Dairy , and Swine must be on the fairgrounds and in place by 8:00am , and their respective shows will start at 9:00am . Goats , Poultry and Rabbits must be on the fairgrounds and in place by 9:30am , and their respective shows will start at 10:30am . Swine weigh-in will be held Thursday July 28 , 2022 from 4- 6pm in the swine show ring . Exhibitors must keep records on their project in AET . All exhibitors own their projects or a portion thereof . All record books must be printed and on grounds at the time of the fair . There are ten ( 10 ) divisions : Swine , Dairy , Beef , Sheep , Poultry , Rabbits , Vegetables & Produce , Exotic Animals , Goats , and Horses The Stephenson County Fair Association contributes housing & facilities free of charge . Agriculture Teachers manage the show . The Fair is non-profit and , therefore , well within the reach of any high school student .
The Section 1 AG-ED Fair is conducted by the Section 1 members of the Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers ( IAVAT ). Each Instructor takes turns as department supervisors , superintendents and managers .
