1 . All entries must comply with the Home Economics Rules and Regulations . 2 . Single entries cannot be used in group entries . 3 . All canned foods must have been canned within the year . 4 . Meats , fruits and vegetables must be canned and sealed in standard canning jars . Please remove all canning rings . 5 . Rusty lids will be disqualified . 6 . NEW : Judges will open jars and Canned Goods ( fruits , vegetables , juices , pickles and meats ) WILL BE TASTED . Bring two ( 2 ) jars from the same batch : one ( 1 ) for tasting and one ( 1 ) for display . Tasting jars can be picked up within two ( 2 ) hours after judging is completed . Jars not picked up will be disposed .
7 . An award in remembrance of Grace Julius will be given to the person who has won the most Blue Ribbons in this division during Fair Week .
