Auction Rules and Givergy
SILENT AND LIVE AUCTION RULES
• Crofton House School makes every effort to accurately describe all items . All items are sold “ as is ”.
• Crofton House School reserves the right to withdraw any item prior to the call for bids .
• The BC government requires charities to charge PST on certain items sold at charity auctions . The items subject to 7 % PST will be noted . All alcoholic items are subject to 10 % PST . The applicable tax will be added to the winning bid price .
• All bids made electronically and by signature are legally binding .
• Where the winning bid is in excess of the advertised value , Live Auction and Silent Auction winning bidders may be entitled to a tax receipt for the difference between the advertised value and the winning bid . If the advertised value is priceless , a tax receipt cannot be issued . CRA guidelines will be followed .
• All items should be removed prior to the close of the evening .
• At the close of bidding , successful bidders are required to show proof of payment before the removal of any purchased item .
• Crofton House School reserves the right to decline a buyer .
• Participation in the auction constitutes acceptance by the bidder of all rules and conditions as set out in this document .
• The Silent Auction will close at approximately 9:30pm . The exact closing time is conditional to the completion of the golf tournament .
