Watertown Red Devils

The Watertown Red Devils are the amateur baseball team in Watertown . The Red Devils compete in the Crow River Valley League .
The past three seasons have been an exciting time for the Red Devils organization . In 2020 , it qualified for the state amateur baseball tournament for the first time since 2008 . The Red Devils followed that up with a magical run in 2021 . Watertown made it to the Class C state title game before coming up one game short of a state title by losing to Sobieski in the championship game in one of the best state championship games in tournament history .
2022 was another big season for the Red Devils . After reaching the title game a year ago , Watertown came into the tournament as one of the favorites to win it all . The Red Devils had another big run in the tournament but came up one game short of reaching the championship game as they fell to the Buckman Billygoats in the semifinals .
Holt Hunziker was a big reason for the success of the Red Devils in 2022 . For his outstanding season on the mound , he was named the CRVL Pitcher of the Year .
2022 also marked Watertown ’ s first region title since 2008 . The Red Devils went a perfect 4-0 in the Region 7C Tournament , picking up wins over Cologne and Green Isle while also beating Waconia twice .
