Mayer Rising
The Mayer Rising Community Festival , set for Saturday , July 8 , 2023 from 9 a . m . to 2 p . m ., has something for everyone . Festivities will occur at the Old School House Park and Mayer Community Center .
Kids Activities
There is always plenty for kids to do at the Mayer Rising festival . Face painters , a balloon artists , a bounce house , and an obstacle course with a slide this have been highlights of the festivals kids events .
Shopping
Festival goers have enjoyed beating the heat and purchasing items at the craft show . Shoppers could stop in the air-conditioned Mayer Community Center to explore the more than 30 vendor booths . For sun lovers there were additional craft show vendors outside .
Food
While attending Mayer Rising , participants can work up an appetite . Several local food options are available at the festival .
The vendors at the festival will satisfy festival goers hunger pangs , with their delectable offerings .
This past year Elephant Joe ’ s Coffee was there early to help festival goers get their caffeine fix , or a person could have grabbed a breakfast burrito at the Mayer Lions stand .
The Mayer Fire Department stand had burgers and sides for those that wanted more hearty fare .
The Mayer Lion ’ s booth had walking tacos and pork chops on a stick .
Cars and more
There is a multitude of cars at the Mayer Rising Car Show . The pride of the show is the quality of cars that participate . In most cases you would have to live in a big city or drive to a car show in one to see cars of this caliber on display right in Mayer .
When a person is done looking at all of the amazing cars on display , they can go to view farm implements of today and yesterday by stopping at the annual Tractor Show .
From Oliver to Moline to John Deere to Allis Chalmers , bring back those memories of what the Mayer community was raised on . It ’ s all on the upper baseball infield . If you have a custom bike or a sweet ride , bring it to the show and display it .
