Before hearing simple songs , a broken melody But now with your passion , your endearment I hear it all the time , a symphony
Your love is like sewing Weaving a tapestry of kind words & a bright future Forever entangled in my own strings You unwrap my sewn-together heart , now turned sweet After your love transformed it from tart Your love is like sleeping The comfort of rest , no pain or sorrow
The comfort of your arms around mine , and mine around yours We drift into a temporary death as our hearts beat rhythmically together
For in death love survives , & in sleep love thrives
Your love is like a poem Written by your lover in appreciation
It ’ s never happened , but you helped me up Because you care about me
An antagonist invades of lives I fought and bickered for your safety My ignorance infuriating , but you remain patient Because you still care about me Years continue to pass Feelings go unexpressed
The silence is disheartening , yet your patience is unwaning Because you care about me enough to continue waiting The truth revealed at last Our feelings shown to the world Yet something feels empty , you seem bored I hope you still care about me Betrayed by a friend for years and years I want to scream , exert my tears Yet all I do is sit and wait , waiting for you Because I remember when you cared for me too Tears stream down your face You feel undeserving of my care Yet an unexpected change of pace , Something you ’ d think I ’ d not do I welcome you in open arms Because I care about you
