In 2020 , the Westminster Kennel Club in partnership with Aviation Gin introduced The Sensation cocktail . Aviation Gin helped establish a new style of American gin - softer and smoother , with juniper in the background and citrus and floral notes in the front - resulting in more cocktail recipes . Aviation Gin , crafted in small batches in Portland , Oregon , developed this recipe with sophisticated dog lovers in mind .
This classic cocktail helped dog show fans celebrate America ’ s Dog Show at home watching the 144th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show LIVE on FS1 on Monday , Feb . 10 and Tuesday , Feb . 11 as well as the Masters Agility Championship finals on FS1 on Sunday , Feb . 9 .
At Pier 94 in New York City , fans got a taste of the cocktail while cheering on the Agility competitors as they vied for the title of Masters Agility Champion on Saturday , Feb . 8 .
Social media followers showed the refreshing drink lots of love after a video starring Aviation Gin owner , actor Ryan Reynolds , was viewed nearly 4 million times . In the video , Reynolds is seen “ showing ” a bottle of Aviation Gin on a leash on the famed green carpet of the Westminster Dog Show . All of WKC ’ s social media accounts boasted 304,400 impressions and 8,296 engagements after the launch of the show ’ s signature cocktail .

Westminster is in the process of making segments of its online archival content available for the public to enjoy .
