Leadership Development

Auxiliary Leadership Development Program ( ALDP )
No matter what level of participation a member of the Auxiliary has , everyone can benefit by participation in the Auxiliary Leadership Development Program ( ALDP ). This program facilitates leadership development beginning at the Flotilla level . The ALDP provides methods for current and future leaders to gain and demonstrate competency inside and outside of the walls of a classroom . The program is a series of courses and exams built around developing deeper understanding and competency on Leadership .
The Coast Guard has identified 4 broad categories of Leadership focus . They are : Leading Self Leading Others Leading Performance and Change Leading in the Coast Guard Auxiliary . Each of the categories are broken further down and all told there are 28 Leadership Competencies .
