all have lawful access to all University facilities . Residence Life Staff has lawful access to residence hall rooms to perform their safety duties .
FACILITY ACCESS ( Degree Completion Center ( Separate campus ))
Each campus has individual building hours . Specific details and times can be obtained from each center ’ s safety and / or security officers ( see Emergency Services section of this publication ).
MISSING STUDENT NOTIFICATION POLICY
For students residing in residential student housing on the Adrian Campus of Siena Heights University there is a confidential missing person notification program . To establish a confidential contact person complete the “ Confidential Missing Person Contact ” form located in the back of the Safety Handbook and submit to Public Safety for registration in the program .
Guidelines for missing students who live in University owned student residential housing :
• All missing student reports will be shared with local law enforcement agencies within 24 hours of Siena Heights University Department of Public Safety knowledge .
• For students under the age of 18 years , who are not emancipated , a custodial parent or guardian will be notified within 24 hours if the student is determined to be missing .
• Every effort will be made to contact the identified missing person contact if a form is properly registered with Public Safety should the student be determined to be missing .
• Information completed on the “ Confidential Missing Person Contact ” form will be registered and maintained by Public Safety and will be shared with Law Enforcement only for investigative purposes .
Should a resident student become missing it is required to :
• Contact Siena Heights University Public Safety Department immediately ( may not exceed 24 hours ) at 517.264.7800 ( available 24 / 7 / 365 ). Or the Director of Public Safety at 517.264.7194 ( business hours ).
Siena Heights University department of Public Safety will work with local law enforcement to investigate all reports of missing residential housed students .
If a student wishes to update or change their form anytime during the academic year they may do so by contacting the Chief of Public Safety at 517-264-7194 .
