Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom celebrated many successes during the 2021-2022 school year . The biggest triumph is having directly taught more than 325,000 students , teachers , individuals , and families in urban , suburban , and rural communities across Colorado .
The Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom ( CoAITC ) program is the lead agricultural literacy education organization that serves the full spectrum of prekindergarten through 12th grade education in Colorado . It is run by the Colorado Foundation for Agriculture , a 501 ( c ) 3 nonprofit organization with a well-respected and longstanding history of advancing agricultural literacy - an awareness , knowledge , and appreciation of our food , fiber , fuel , and natural resources . For more than 30 years , CoAITC has been providing authentic , agricultural-based content to teach students in all learning environments .
Over the past five years , Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom has grown by 35 %. This growth has been accomplished through a combination of printed and electronic resources , in-person and virtual presentations , teacher conferences and public events , and multiple communications and outreach efforts . All these efforts are thanks in large part to supporters like you !
