who I am now . I will probably be more outgoing and energetic - nothing scary ; just an opposite but positive reflection of who I am now . CSM : As a shy person , how do you rock stages the way you do ? ADN : I love what I do . When I go on stage it ’ s no longer me . I used to have stage fright but I ’ m more confident now . You know you get better when you ’ re consistent with something . I can ’ t be shy on stage . CSM : You mentioned that you ’ re a perfectionist . Is that what you brought into your album ? ADN : Certainly ! It ’ s my first album so we had to make sure it ’ s perfect from all angles . We considered everything from content to production , no stone was left unturned . CSM : How long did it take you to put everything together ? ADN : Probably 2 months ? The idea of working on an album has been hanging in the air so when the time was right we had to make it happen . It so happens that we started working on it right after the lockdown period . The entire album was worked on at the Lynx studios . CSM : Let ’ s talk about ‘ WHY ’ your first single of the album . Who were you talking to ? ADN : I was talking to myself basically . It ’ s more like a conversation with me . CSM : Is that fictional love story or it ’ s your love story you ’ re sharing with your fans ? ADN : It ’ s not my love story for sure hahaha CSM : What ’ s your love story then ? ADN : I don ’ t have one currently maybe sometime in the future . From time to time I get advances but after a while I grow out of it , you know ... CSM : .. and then you friendzone the guys ? ADN : I don ’ t know if it ’ s friendzoning but yeah , we don ’ t get to be what we want to be ; we can still be friends . CSM : What inspired the album ? ADN : My Life inspired the album . I wanted to share my life with the world – not just my fans . When it came to putting the entire project together myself and my team had to tell stories in such a way that listeners can relate because I am an everyday person going through the very same things everyone else is going through . Be it love , happiness , sadness , depression – whatever it is . I had to find creative ways to echo these experiences through my music . With the help of talented writers like Richie Mensah , Kidi , DJ Vyrusky and Kwame Fakye , we were able to bring this album to fruition . CSM : How challenging was it ? ADN : You know how competitive it is between creative people so imagine a bunch of super creative and talented people brainstorming over ideas or building concepts together . Egos will of course be on display amongst other things because each person is trying to project his or her creative genius on everyone else in the room . I had to deal with such instances throughout the creative process . But we all easily agreed to disagree and moved on . CSM : Let ’ s talk about “ DADDY ’ S LITTLE GIRL ”… ADN : Yeah , DADDY ’ S LITTLE GIRL is more like a tribute song to my late father . It ’ s also an expression of how I feel about his absence in my life . I lost my dad when I was about 5years old so you can imagine how it would be growing up without your father in your life . The song is also a dedication to every girl ADN boy out there who shares a similar experience with me .

Araba is my fante name and the album is a tribute to my fante heritage . But we also chose Araba because the album touches on various aspects of my personal life .”

CSM : Are you launching the album in South ...
