families who have never needed the
service before, as donations support
rent, utility bills, car repairs, prescriptions
and food. These families
are all from the Wilsonville area, and
the food bank is most appreciative of
all financial assistance and food donations.

CCC Activities
By KIM HOSFORD
Many events
postponed or canceled
due to COVID-19
outbreak
It is the first week of May as I am
writing this article. At this time, it
appears that the Charbonneau clubhouse
will remain closed as per the
governor’s guidelines. All indoor
activities and events are canceled
until further notice. In this uncertain
time, changes occur daily so
New members
Last month we featured Leesa
Gango and Carole Durango. Hopefully
you have been able to meet these
ladies on the golf course. This month
we have Claudia Riewold, who has
grown up in Michigan but has now
resided in Oregon for 32 years. Semiretired,
she and her husband have
three children all living out of state
in San Diego, Texas and Idaho. Her
cousin and Niners member Julie
Weiss, has encouraged her to join. In
addition to golf, Julia enjoys reading
and volunteers at her church as well
as the Wilsonville Senior Community,
and she joined the Niners with encouragement
from cousin and Niners
member Julie Weiss. She is an early
morning golfer, and she would appreciate
a call to fill in any early morning
foursome.
Tammy Blaskowsky currently
lives in Lake Oswego but is building a
home in West Linn, hoping for a September
move-in date. She’s also a
mother of two girls, and she occasionally
enjoys a round of golf with her
husband. Over the years she has
picked up a few hobbies, specifically
walking and hiking as she respects
the importance of exercise. She has
spent time knitting, and she loves to
travel. In joining the Niners, she
looks forward to the camaraderie and
fun of our golf group. Tammy has
been hoping to make 2020 her year,
and she feels that joining the Niners
will give her the reason to play on a
consistent basis, to connect with people
and to improve her game.
Happy Father’s Day!
As you golf, perhaps many of you
may be reminded of your fathers and
their love of this sport or other activities
that you share(d). Sunday, June
21, is Father’s Day, and the Niners
would like to wish all fathers, today
and of the past, a very Happy
Father’s Day.
keep checking our CCC website for
updates to our calendar.
In the meantime, we have several
outdoor activities planned so we will
just keep our fingers crossed for now.
Keep thinking happy and healthy
thoughts!

NEIGHBOR CARE BULLETIN
Wilsonville Police Advise Caution!
Charbonneau has experienced a significant
number of break-ins again in April and the
thieves have progressed to breaking into
garages. The Country Club has
asked for more police presence
and Wilsonville police have been
very helpful to increase patrols;
we are thankful for their diligence.
Officers are not seeing
a lot of smash and grab
thefts, rather, most of the
criminal activity happens
when thieves find open
garages and items left in cars.
As always, please lock up
your homes, garages and
remove anything from your
cars, whether it has value
or not, it is still a magnet
for thieves.
Officers remind us that
prevention is the best
defense!
If you see any suspicious activity or if you
are the victim of a crime, please call:

Again, a big thanks to Wilsonville police
and First Response for all they do to help
keep us safe.
