INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE WORKSHOP ACA ’ s popular International Exchange is an interactive program for angels and ecosystem players to share information about investing trends in different companies , with the goal of adapting ideas you like for your own country . The program is fast paced and includes speakers from North America , Europe , Pacific Rim / Asia , Africa , the Middle East , and Latin America – with the latest statistics and innovative approaches to expand angel investing across the globe . Given current media attention , a key focus of the event will be what is happening with women as investors and entrepreneurs . This program helps angels deepen global connections and relationships , leading to more sharing of angel knowledge and cross-border investing or collaboration . 80 to 100 people from 30 countries attend this program , presented from 8:30 to 2:30 .
THE FUNDAMENTALS OF INVESTING IN STARTUPS ( ACA ’ S “ ANGEL 101 ”) This half-day seminar introducing accredited investors to the fundamentals of angel investing , led by seasoned pros . New angels attend to get information and insights to determine if angel investing is right for them , to meet other angels to connect to as they consider investment opportunities , and to learn the key points of making good investments . Many experienced angels tell us they wish they would have had education like this when they first started – it might have saved them some money . The seminar will provide insights into angel investing as an asset class , with a focus on anticipated returns , portfolio strategy , valuation of early-stage companies , conducting due diligence , understanding term sheets and angel involvement in portfolio companies after the investment . The program may also attract a number of angel group leaders who want to learn how to teach it to angels in their communities . We expect 80 to 100 attendees at this program , presented from 8:30 to Noon .
