ANNUAL DEEP CLEAN GUIDELINES
ANNUAL DEEP CLEAN GUIDELINES
A deep clean is exactly what it sounds like—all parts of the internal house, external
patios (including doors and feature windows), furniture, cupboards and items
within cupboards, must be cleaned and arranged properly wherever necessary.
Furniture must be moved without damage to flooring or other structures, and
cleaning crews will need people physically capable of accomplishing this. In
many cases, the use of sliders may be advisable. Should there be items that are
dangerous or excessively heavy, 360 Blue needs to be informed so that
assistance can provide. 360 Blue also needs to be informed when ceiling heights
make cleaning surfaces inaccessible with a standard 6-8 foot ladder. An example
of such an inaccessible area would be light fixtures hanging in cathedral-type
entries. Cleaning crews need to provide their own step-ladders and any other
items/products to accomplish a deep clean. Extension poles should also be used
where needed. Products such as mold and mildew removers and magic erasers are
essential for certain situations – but please follow usage guidelines. Some products
are abrasive and should not be used on surfaces liable to be damaged. The best
smell is CLEAN. Please use an odor eliminator as needed.
When deep cleaning, work from the ceiling down. For example, ceiling fans are
done before floors, light switches before baseboards, glass light fixtures before
dining chairs, and walls before bathtubs. On the final day, re-dust all surfaces for
displaced dust that has settled.
All cupboards and closets need to be emptied and cleaned completely. Items
removed from cupboards and closets need to be cleaned, replaced and neatly
arranged. Follow any guidelines to positioning from house portfolios or property
pictures from the 360 Blue app/website.
Appliances are cleaned inside and out with all shelving, storage bins and racks, etc.
being removed and cleaned. Wherever possible, appliances should be moved in
order to clean under and around. Ice should be removed from refrigerators and
ice makers. The insides of refrigerators also need to be cleaned. Freezers should
be defrosted.
All surfaces need cleaning, including walls, doors, cupboard fronts, countertops,
etc. Stair risers are a typical places where dark scuff marks can be found and
cleaned.
