Did you know that dried mosses were used for heating / insulating houses ? They were also used to insulate boots , but they aren ’ t any more . Mosses were used to heal things like wounds in ancient cultures , too . They were also used to prevent blood loss in World War 2 . Moss has more modern uses , too . For example , they are good for gardens , because they don ’ t require very much care , they can survive in periods of drought , and make gardens prettier .
