If you look closely , the snowflakes look similar but they are not the same
Snowy Snow and Icy Ice In winter , there are many different shapes of snowflakes . Ponds freeze into ice , icicles form on buildings . Winter is just like a winter wonderland . Every snowflake has a different shape , like not two people are the same . Twins are different . Same with snowflakes . Each snowflake has six sides , or branches . Each branch is the same . It looks like the same branch is repeated . Snowflakes get their shape when small ice crystals meet .
. Did you know that there could be as many as 200 ice crystals in 1 small
snowflake ? It is really rare to get a perfect snowflake , though , because when a snowflake falls , it might melt a bit or get dented . Snowflakes usually float down pretty fast , but once in a while , it could take up to 2 HOURS !!!
Snowflakes and frozen rain aren ’ t the same , frozen rain is sleet while snowflakes are multiple ice particles .
