Dishes you’ll
for
By Susie Timm
As the temperatures start to fall, leaves begin to change color and the holiday
season is upon us, many Valley restaurants have started to use seasonal
ingredients that will leave even Arizonans wanting to don boots, jackets and
scarves. Here’s a look at some favorite fall-inspired dishes popping up around
the restaurant scene this month.
AZ Food Crafters
The Chandler bakery has mastered the art
of the hand pie as well as a whole line up
of salads and other delights. This fall they
have created a butternut squash faro salad
with celery, granny smith apples, sage and
walnuts toped with an apple cider vinegar
dressing. It’s pretty much “fall” in a bowl.

Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill
October is National Pork month and the
Thirsty Lion has combined the meaty
flavors of roasted pork tenderloin with a
luxurious black cherry barbecue sauce and
the result is most fall-like indeed. Served
with a hearty helping of green onion curls
and garlic mashed potatoes, this dish will
warm you to your core.
