Desert Car Care
Meet Frank Leutz
CEO, Husband & Dad
by Jessica Parsons
“
s a parent and small business
entrepreneur, one of my biggest
fears has always been losing
sight of all the little things that make life
special,” says Frank Leutz. “These little
things are often the very things that are so
magical to our children and companions.”
Something tells us this grounded
entrepreneur and family man will never
lose sight, and instead is the epitome of an
“inspirational dad.”
Leutz, owner and CEO of Desert Car
Care Centers, was born in Frankfurt,
Germany, grew up in Harlem and
became a jazz and salsa musician. This
accomplished CEO and accomplished
musician played Carnegie Hall and
performed with the great Dizzy Gillespie
and Tito Puente. Impressed? We are!

He joined the Navy doing mine sweep
operations in the Persian Gulf until
he was transferred west. In 1990, after
getting a job at a Chevy dealership, his
wife encouraged him to go independent.
By 2004, he took her advice, opening the
first of three Desert Car Care Centers in
Chandler and Gilbert.
“A business model built on the passion
for its teams and the community it serves
is the driving force of our success,” says
Leutz. “Growing a small business, has
enabled me to funnel time and money
back into the community, as I believe it
is business to business and neighbor to
neighbor that will prevail.”
Within the framework of the business,
it was important to Leutz to include his
wife and daughters. On any given day, you
might find them working the front desk,
“...the time to be goofy... assist with
studies, and guide through life... this
has always been my passion, and I
am truly grateful and blessed.”
