Amelia Merhar GETTING RIPPED FOR THE APOCALYPSE
Interviews will take place 1 PM - 4 PM Saturday
Interactive Fitness Performance will take place at 3:40 PM on Sunday
Main Riverside Festival Grounds
Getting Ripped for the Apocalypse is a six-part educational fitness series
by artist Amelia Merhar, who will be filming Dawson-pocalypse episode
over the Riverside weekend. By uniting communities that don’t often meet
(preppers and aerobics videos), Amelia will help people feel supported
and prepared for the current climate crisis. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed
and hopeless given the magnitude of systemic change needed. Working
out makes you feel better! Amelia will be conducting interviews with locals
and tourists about Dawson City and apocalypse preparedness on Saturday,
August 17th at the main Festival grounds. On Sunday afternoon, Amelia will
lead a group fitness practice to be showcased in the film series. What will
you do during the apocalypse?
