About the Judges:
Nicholas breaux-fujita

Nicholas Breaux-Fujita is a lifelong member
of the Peruvian Horse community. His grandparents Ken
and June Hidalgo were the first, and, until their retirement,
largest breeders of Peruvian Horses in the state of Louisi-
ana.

Nick began competitively showing at the age
of 8 and was the first junior exhibitor to win the Harry
Bennett High Point award 3 times for juniors 13 and under.
As an adult, Nick has enjoyed success in the
show arena annually at both the regional and national
levels; most memorably with his mare F-P Evangeline++
pictured here.
Nick became a NAPHA accredited judge in 2011 and has
had the honor of judging regional shows in the US and
Canada, as well as the Canadian Nationals.

Outside of horses Nick is a casino executive with
Caesars Entertainments and resides in the Lake Tahoe
region of Northern Nevada where he lives with his husband
Sohei.
Angel I. Ribó PA-C, MPAS

Physician Assistant, President/CEO of Peninsula Research
Group in Ormond Beach, Florida. Graduated in ‘98 from the Uni-
versity of Texas with a BS in PA Studies from SW Medical Center in
Dallas and in ‘02 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center
with a Masters in PA Studies and specialization in Infectious Diseases.
For over 20 years he has served as Provider for HIV/AIDS patients.

Angel is lifelong bilingual educator, presenting at medical con-
ferences and meetings to Medical Professionals within the US, Mexico
and Spain.

In 1980, the marvel of the Peruvian Horse arrived into the life
of the Ribo family. Since then, “afición” took hold in his heart, now
for nearly four decades. Barcelona R Ranch dedicated many years to cherishing, promoting and improving the
Peruvian breed from the 70s through 90s.

Accredited as a judge by the AAOBPPH and subsequently by NAPHA he has had privilege of judging
numerous shows internationally in Canada and the US including the 1999 National US Show in Santa Barbara.

After an unplanned furlough, in 2016, Angel reactivated his credentials as a NAPHA judge. Since then,
having the honor of judging several regional shows in the US and abroad. Mr. Angel Ribó has also judged twice
the 2017 and 2018 Ecuadorian National Show in Guayaquil Ecuador. By serving in 2017, he was awarded the
honor and distinction of becoming the first American and Non-Peruvian Judge to serve at the National Show in
Ecuador.
