2019 Impact Report Real Food Media 2019 Impact Report | Page 3
Since 2012, we have been providing communications
strategy, critical analysis, and powerful storytelling to
combat food industry misinformation and inspire
people to take action to change the food system.
In partnership with community and movement allies, we develop media strategies for policy wins and
movement building that reflect our shared vision of racial, economic, environmental, and food justice.
We also work to expose how industry spin and influence promote power and profit over people and
planet and to lift up the voices on the frontlines of food system transformation. Over the years we have
used a variety of tools—including videos, podcasts, graphic and web design, social media, public
events, and writing—to flex our communications muscle to help create a food system that works for all.
IN 2019, WE FOCUSED ON THREE CORE AREAS:
